05 Nov The Ravens Club to Host Julian Van Winkle III
The Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery has a four generation history. The Van Winkle family’s involvement in the bourbon industry began in the late 1800s with Julian P. “Pappy” Van Winkle, Sr. At the event, Julian will explain the history of the Van Winkle family and its involvement in distilling, along with how Old Rip Van Winkle’s business relationship with the Buffalo Trace Distillery has changed the nature of the operation.
Our Chef, Frank Fejeran will be collaborating with Detroit Motor City Casino Executive Chef, Don Yamauchi and Vellum Chef, Jeffrey Sartor on small pairing bites and a buffet style dinner. Julian will provide bottles from his private stock of 10yr, 12yr, 15yr, 20yr and 23yr bourbons for the tasting.
The event will run from 6-10pm and is SOLD OUT.
